After 10 years of working in the kitchen and bath design industry, I was introduced to the ShelfGenie product. I instantly fell in love with the custom glide-out shelves but more so with ShelfGenie’s noble purpose: “We help turn frustration and pain into joy and love.” I started out as a designer with ShelfGenie of Cincinnati and am thrilled to be an owner alongside with my husband Joe. Joe and I have lived in the Greater Cincinnati area our entire lives. I love that not one space or client’s needs are the same, I get to customize a design specific for each client. My goal is to help my clients love where they live by helping them adapt to their changing needs overtime with our customized storage solutions.

A 1992 graduate of The University of Cincinnati's DAAP program, I began working for ShelfGenie as a Design Consultant in the Fall of 2016. With a background in Art and Design, I have a strong spacial awareness that enhances my ability to solve my clients' problems and design a solution that best works within their space. Prior to working for ShelfGenie, I was an Art Teacher, a Freelance Artist, and most importantly, a Mom who for the last eighteen years has put her family first!   I am a caregiver and a homemaker who enjoys cooking for my family and likes to stay organized. ShelfGenie is a product that I had always wanted in my home so when I went back to work after staying home with my children for several years, it was an opportunity that made sense. It has been a very nice fit for my personality, my strengths and my family commitments. What I thoroughly enjoy most about my job is working closely with my clients to design a ShelfGenie solution that best meets their needs, turning their frustrations into joy!   At ShelfGenie, we transform clients` lives by formulating custom access solutions. It is truly a rush to see the impact that we can have on someone’s life. I look forward to helping you get EVERYTHING WITHIN REACH™.

I am a big Dayton Flyer fan, having graduated from the University of Dayton with a BA in Communication. I live an active lifestyle as a mother of two children. I have been blessed to stay at home with my kids while continuing to successfully grow my skincare business. Prior to kids, I worked extensively in the direct marketing arena. I love doing product research, studying marketing, and direct marketing. I learned about ShelfGenie while researching updates in my home. Not only was I impressed with the quality product, but they were also solid wood and completely customizable in every area in the home. I immediately saw the value as this is a common need for EVERYONE. With my kids going to school full time and an expanding territory in my area, I jumped aboard. I get so much satisfaction working alongside my clients. The before and after pictures, hugs, and smiles make my job. If I can gain them space, accessibility and eliminate frustration, I have done my job. “Good order is the foundation of all things.”

I have more than 40 years’ experience in the remodeling/renovation/construction industry. Early on, I worked in a woodworking shop building custom cabinets for both residential and commercial installations. I have installed, literally, thousands of cabinets in banks, movie theaters, and custom kitchen renovations. I have always had and still do have a full wood shop at home where I spend my leisure time working on projects of all types. I came to ShelfGenie because I appreciate the fact that they offer a quality, much-needed product and a commitment to providing a positive experience for their customers from the initial contact through the installation process. When you finish an installation and hear the positive feedback from customers on how much this has improved their lives, it makes the whole process worthwhile.

I was born and raised in Dayton Oh, where I now live with my wife and young daughter. In twenty years of my professional working career, I have enjoyed my current work as a middle school teacher. In a previous career, I worked as a counselor in a local emergency room and a hospital coordinator. I greatly enjoy working with, and helping people, especially children. My other talents lie in working with my hands in remodeling work. During my spare time, I enjoy performing contractor work around the Dayton area for an a variety of home remodeling businesses. I chose to join the ShelfGenie Team, as I was looking for an opportunity to use my handiwork skills, patients, and interpersonal skills for the benefit of clients interested in greater ease and access of their living space. I thrive on the opportunity to build a product with my hands to exceed the expectations of my customers.

My favorite part about my career is helping my clients, I have been working in residential remodeling for 20+ years. I love traveling with my wife Jennifer and live locally in Florence, KY. ShelfGenie has given me the opportunity to use my skills and make a difference in a space that a client uses on a daily basis. Seeing our clients happy and enjoying their space at the end of an install is why I love my job. I look forward to many more successful years with ShelfGenie.
